Class “B” FranchiseThe larger cart conveyed in the Class B franchise is similar in many ways to the Class A franchise cart with the biggest difference being a fountain soda system. This cart is physically larger and requires power and water to operate. Self contained water tanks can be filled remotely if water is not available at the vending site. Increased storage, together with post mix soda capacity, enables this cart to operate at potentially higher volume levels. Although very mobile, this type of franchise is better suited to vending locations with a high level of support. In addition to the locations outlined with the Class A franchise, the Class B operation is designed for airports, sport stadiums and high volume business and retail centers. As with the Class A franchise, remote or off site kitchen support, as well as storage, can add additional expense. Due to the nature of fountain soda, the use of ice becomes much greater. Account development should include space and utilities for access to an ice machine which is the franchise owners responsibility where permissible. |
