The purchase of a Woody’s Chicago Style™ franchise generally includes the basic items outlined in the section pertaining to specific franchise types - (see classes of franchise on menu).
In overview the inclusions are:
- FRANCHISE RIGHT AND AUTHORITY - the ability to use our trademarks and highly successful business plan.
- EQUIPMENT - The Class A, B and C franchise concepts include the cart and all equipment associated with the operation proposed. Note that some equipment conveyed is not owned but used based on national program participation with various vendors. The Class D franchise does not include, but provides, a basic equipment allowance.
- LOCATION -South Platte Land and Investment
Company, Inc. (SPLICI) will decide whether to approve a location for
your franchise based on various factors common to all franchisees, and
factors related to your individual situation. Our team will research, propose and secure a location to the best of our ability.
If your franchise is located at a national home improvement chain store,
you may be required to enter into a sublicense agreement with us for use
of the location. Locations other than those at national chains are usually executed agreements, licenses, or leases between the franchisee and the host location.
- ACCOUNT SET UP - We set up all your supply accounts with our national team of vendors. You will purchase directly from distributors with prearranged discounted prices.
- TRAINING - Our Operations Team will conduct a one week training program for your benefit encompassing safe food handling, customer service, company policy and local regulations. Training also takes place right through your opening as we go shoulder to shoulder with new operators.

- UNIFORMS - Uniform appearance is a fundamental necessity.
SPLICI provides you with an initial inventory of shirts, jacket, hats and visors to start your business. Uniforms are available at competitive pricing through our national source when replacement becomes necessary.
- INSURANCE, PERMITS, SUPPORT FACILITIES - These items become specific to the franchise. We can not procure permits in someone else’s name. What we do, however, is the local research and development necessary to assist you in achieving permits. Permit fees and plan review fees, if required, become additional expenses to our franchisees. Additionally, we direct you to national insurance programs favoring our industry. If support facilities are necessary we will assist you in procurement and design as much as possible.
- ON GOING ASSISTANCE - Once the franchise is operational
SPLICI will continue to provide a variety of support functions as outlined in the
Franchise Offering Circular.
